The Superintendent is responsible for providing on-site coordination of construction activities during all phases of the project and supervise all field personnel as required to successfully complete projects on schedule and within budget. This requires making sure all safety procedures are observed on site, coordinating subcontractors, accounting for material and equipment, and ensure specifications are being strictly followed while proceeding on schedule and within budget. The Superintendent is responsible for scheduling, inspection, quality control, and job site safety.Position DutiesEnsure safety of all on-site personnel, enforce OSHA safety rules and regulations.Schedule subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely project completionCommunicate with Project Manager regularly regarding scheduling, material procurement, manpower, construction challenges.Responsible for quality control dutiesEnsure subcontractors are performing duties according to contract and scheduleCoordinate required inspections with local jurisdictionsIdentify subcontractor non-compliance with safety or other job site rulesMaintain daily written log of all manpower, construction activities and incidentsDocument all construction phases with photos of eachWalk project daily to monitor activities and for progress check and future planningAssist in preconstruction activities, including budgeting, bidding, and awarding of subcontractsAssist in obtaining permits or approval of revisionsEducation and ExperienceHigh School diploma or GED requiredSuperintendent experience in projects ranging from $10million - $15millionAdditional Eligibility QualificationsAbility to pass a background check and drug screeningValid driver's license with safe driving recordAuthorized to work in the USAbout BaldwinBaldwin General Contracting is an Oregon based, full-service contractor with broad experience serving both public – and private – sector clients.
