ETL Engineer (Python, SQL)

Employment Type = Contract-to-Hire, M-F 8:30am-5pm ET Reporting Mode: 100% remote from anywhere in the United States Hourly Pay Range: $60-$65.50/hour w2 Salary Range when converting permanent: $100,000-$110,000 plus 10% bonus We’re looking for an ETL Engineer to create data pipelines using Python from APIs, flat files, and other sources and loading into PostgreSQL and Linux environment. Responsibilities Maintain and enhance existing data pipelines, including making code updates to current pipeline loads Design and build new ETL pipelines to support new data sources and business requirements Develop and maintain SQL-based data models, including creating new tables and leveraging existing tables Develop SQL views and procedures Improve pipeline reliability, performance, and readability by simplifying and standardizing SQL logic Partner with external stakeholders to understand data feeds to create new data pipelines Troubleshoot data quality issues and pipeline failures, ensuring accurate and timely data delivery Required Skills & Experience 5+ years data migration/ETL experience. Strong experience in Python (Pandas preferred) and SQL (PostgreSQL or other similar) Bachelor's degree Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, transformations, data modeling, stored procedures, query analysis, and performance troubleshooting Ability to work with existing legacy pipelines and refactor them into cleaner, more maintainable solutions - Compensation Statement.
