This role is responsible for new product and process development, manufacturing troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and scrap-reduction efforts to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost performance.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct & Process DevelopmentLead development and implementation of new pultruded fiberglass products and manufacturing processesConduct trials, testing, and validation for new materials, profiles, and process changesSupport Sales with technical input and cost analysis for product quotationsManufacturing SupportTroubleshoot pultrusion process issues related to resin systems, fiber wet-out, die performance, cure control, and line efficiencyImprove process stability, throughput, and product qualityDevelop and maintain process documentation and operating standardsContinuous ImprovementLead lean manufacturing and process improvement initiativesImplement scrap reduction and waste elimination strategiesTrack performance metrics and support cost-saving projectsQuality & Process ControlPartner with Quality Control to improve process capability and consistencySupport corrective action and root cause analysis effortsImplement process controls to reduce defects and variationCross-Functional CollaborationAct as a technical resource to Sales, Production, QC, and managementSupport new product launches and process changes across departmentsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field (or equivalent experience)Experience in manufacturing process engineering, product development, or continuous improvementStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsExperience in fiberglass pultrusion, composites manufacturing, or reinforced plasticsPreferred ExperienceKnowledge of resin systems (polyester, vinyl ester, epoxy) and fiber reinforcement processesFamiliarity with lean manufacturing principles and quality systemsSkills & CompetenciesProcess optimization and root cause analysisProject leadership and cross-functional coordinationTechnical documentation and standardizationData-driven decision makingClear written and verbal communicationWork EnvironmentA combination of manufacturing floor, lab, and officeHands-on involvement with production processesCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive compensation based on experienceComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement plan, and paid time off
