Client: Morgan StanleyLocation: New York City, NY (Onsite)Interview Mode: Face-to-Face Interview OnlyRate: 63/hr C2CPosition OverviewTCS is seeking an experienced Database Developer to support Morgan Stanley''s enterprise data platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in DB2, IMS, and UDB with a proven background in designing, developing, and optimizing high-performance database solutions in a large-scale financial services environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain enterprise database applications using DB2, IMS, and UDB.Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and database objects.Analyze business requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions.Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.Support data migration, integration, and ETL processes.Troubleshoot database-related production issues and implement permanent solutions.Collaborate with application developers, business analysts, and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable solutions.Ensure database integrity, security, backup, recovery, and high availability.Participate in release management, code reviews, and production deployments.Create and maintain technical documentation and adhere to development standards.Required SkillsStrong hands-on experience with IBM DB2.Experience working with IMS (Information Management System) databases.Expertise in UDB (Universal Database).Advanced SQL programming and query optimization.Experience Developing Stored Procedures, Triggers, Views, And Functions.Strong understanding of database design, normalization, and data modeling.Experience with database performance tuning and troubleshooting.Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration.Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience working in the Banking or Financial Services domain.Prior experience supporting Morgan Stanley or other investment banking clients.Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Preferred Experience8+ years of experience as a Database Developer.Experience working with mission-critical enterprise database systems.Strong understanding of large-scale transactional environments and financial applications.
