The Conservatory Lab Charter School seeks a Dean of School Culture who is passionate about collaborating with staff, students, and families to create a strong school and community culture rooted in the 5 school values of Cooperation, Empathy, Perseverance, Reflection, and Responsibility. The Dean of School Culture will support a positive school culture.Responsibilities:Support the maintenance of a calm, joyful, inclusive, and compassionate school culture through the development and support of routines, traditions, and ritualsCollaborate with Leadership on school culture goalsCollaborate with Director of Academics & Director of Sistema to facilitate family engagement eventsLead organizing and family outreach for schoolwide eventsCoordinate PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) for lower schoolMonitor daily tier 1 class meetings to support social developmentCollaborate with school counselor to establish and implement support students with lagging social development skillsCollaborate with BCBA, teachers and families to establish appropriate behavioral expectations and supports for studentsSupport teachers in implementing school based systems and individual behavior plans to support successSupport school wide systems for school culture that promote positive behaviors and address negative choices in a developmentally appropriate wayCreate and oversee systems for behavioral expectations in common spaces and monitor student behavior when necessary (hallways, playground, arrival & dismissal)Drive use and fidelity of these systems by all school staffOversee behavior management platform (Kickboard) usage by all staffLead monthly behavior CPT data divesMaintain record of student office referrals and bus incidents using KickboardAnalyze social development growth data using KickboardFollow through on behavioral concerns via family meetings, using Kickboard data to drive conversations and collaborate with families and teachers to develop student support plansAssist teachers, students, and families in the effective creation and implementation of individual behavior plansReinforce the effective use of a school-wide behavior planManage SST portfolio, attend all SST meetings, initiate referrals to SST as needed in accordance with data and office referralsCollaborate with counselor, learning specialists, and special education coordinator to support family successMonitor student attendance and tardiness, follow up with families to support school attendance as necessaryModel how to build strong, mutually respectful relationships with all of our students and their familiesEnsure that the physical environment of the school reinforces school culture and facilitates student achievementCollaborate with school partners to support the school and individual studentsSupport effective use of support staff in classrooms and supervise support staffBe highly present and visible during school hoursManage arrival and dismissal responsibilities including all scheduling, staffing and coordination with operations managerOther responsibilities as assigned by Principal and Executive DirectorReports to the Director of School Culture and Counseling Requirements: Excellent communication skillsComfortable with use of computer systems and use of spreadsheets3 years experience working with studentsDemonstrated knowledge of child development and PBIS systemsBachelors degreeRequired Documentation Upload:1.
