Welder - Aluminum

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Aluminum Welder to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for expertly welding aluminum components and structures, ensuring precision, durability, and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of diverse projects across construction sites, manufacturing facilities, and custom fabrication shops. Duties Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding on aluminum sheets, pipes, and fabricated assemblies following detailed blueprints and schematics. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly. Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances during welding and assembly processes. Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently. Conduct rigging, pipe threading, ductwork installation, and assembly of aluminum structures on construction sites or in manufacturing settings. Maintain strict compliance with ASME codes & standards for welding quality and safety protocols. Utilize crane operations and forklift equipment to move heavy materials as needed for fabrication or installation projects. Follow safety procedures diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA regulations. Assist in mechanical troubleshooting, machining tasks, soldering, plasma cutting, and sheet metal fabrication to support project completion. Skills Extensive construction site experience with aluminum welding projects in diverse environments. Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), welding techniques tailored for aluminum materials. Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Familiarity with using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, and plasma cutters for precise fabrication work. Knowledge of rigging procedures, crane operation basics, forklift handling, and pipe threading methods. Mechanical knowledge related to assembly processes involving ductwork, piping systems, and structural components. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to fabrication tolerances, and project specifications. Experience with machining operations including press brake machines for sheet metal forming. Understanding of ASME codes & standards relevant to welding quality assurance in manufacturing or construction settings. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high safety standards.
