SCAFFOLD BUILDER

POSITION SUMMARYThe Scaffold Builder is responsible for erecting and dismantling scaffolding to provide work platforms and handrails on building or industrial sites or for temporary structures such as stages, seating and catwalks.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(This is a representative list of the duties the position may be asked to perform and is not intended to be all-inclusive.)Check the construction requirements from drawings and written instructionsSelect materials and set ground levels for projectsFit together steel pipes, support braces and clamps to form bases for scaffoldsLift and position sections of scaffolding and bolt pipes together to build up scaffoldingPlace planks over horizontal bars to create platformsCheck levels in scaffolding structuresDismantle scaffolding at the completion of a jobObey and follow all safety rules and policiesWear all appropriate safety equipment (PPE)Perform all other duties as assigned by manager and/or supervisorMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS High School diploma or equivalent education1+ year scaffold building experience preferredBasic level written and verbal communication skillsAbility to perform basic level mathematical skillsMust be reliable and have good time management skillsFor new hires, must meet all Performance Energy Services employment qualifications in force at time of hiring, including successful completion of a background investigation and pre-employment drug screenFor new hires, must successfully complete all required training by Performance Energy Services
