As an Environmental Engineer Consultant, you will perform the following duties:Technical Guidance: Provide expert engineering advice to DEP staff, management, public officials, and the regulated communityResearch Work: Study new technologies, conduct modeling, and recommend improvements for wastewater and stormwater managementProgram Support: Develop and maintain water quality models, guidance documents, and standard operating proceduresTraining Development: Create and deliver training on NPDES topics such as water quality modeling and stormwater practicesData Tools: Build spreadsheets and applications that apply engineering principles for water quality analysisCollaboration Efforts: Serve as a liaison with federal and state agencies and assist with complex permit reviewsInterested in learning more? Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:Two years as an Environmental Engineer or an Air Quality Engineer (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration); orFive years of professional engineering experience in environmental protection or in environmental project development, design and/or construction.Special Requirement:This position requires possession of a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.Condition of Employment:This position requires possession of a valid driver's license.Other Requirements:You must meet the PA residency requirement.
