Field Services Repair Area Manager - Houston Metro Area
As a Field Services Repair Area Manager, you’ll oversee Best Buy’s in-home repair business in your designated coverage area. You’ll directly lead Best Buy and Geek Squad employees while managing relationships with a network of service partner (third-party) teams that fulfill work in the home. You’ll build a strong employee culture that leads to favorable customer and business results.This role cover the Houston Metro Area. You will need to reside within those areas, however we prefer talent located in either the Houston Metro and/or surrounding counties (Fort Bend, Montgomery, Harris, Galveston, Wharton, Brazoria)This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on site at a Best Buy location and some days virtually from home or another Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.What You’ll DoEnsure operational consistency of Best Buy’s repair network in alignment with enterprise and Field Services objectives by leading internal employees and influencing external service providersSet clear expectations for your team, work with them on site and/or remotely, and provide regular 1-on-1 coachingCreate and maintain an exceptional team culture centered around engagement and belongingEnsure your team follows all standard operating procedures and provide feedback to operations teams as neededManage workload and capacity planning, including schedule creation, PTO approval and route managementResponse to escalations and provide resolutions to preserve the customer experienceBasic qualification2 years of experience as a supervisor or manager2 years of sales, installation, logistics, operations, warehouse, inventory or customer service experienceAbility to travel overnight approximately 25% of the yearCurrent, valid driver's licenseMust be at least 21 years oldHave and maintain a driving record which meets Best Buy safety standards (e.g. minimal number of violations/accidents, etc.)Acquire and maintain any state or local licensing, as required, within 90 days of hirePreferred QualificationsConsumer electronics delivery, repair or installation experienceExperience in delivery, transportation, distribution or logisticsExperience with warehouse management systemsExperience managing a remote workforceAssociate degree or higher in business, logistics or related fieldsWhat’s In It For YouWe’re committed to helping our people thrive at work and at home.
