Software Engineer ApplyAcante, Inc. has openings for a Software Engineer in Palo Alto, CA for developing cloud-based data processing infrastructure with both real time and offline data pipelines. Job responsibilities will include and are not limited to the following.ResponsibilitiesWork with the Engineering team to architect and build horizontally scalable, resilient, high throughput data pipelines for Acante using systematic analysis to predict and measure consequences of design including, coding, testing, debugging, deployment, monitoring, production operations, and documentation.Conduct proof of concept activities with customers, understand use cases/requirements and translate them into solutions.Design and build high-performance microservices based applications that run on AWS using Python, Linux/Unix, Bash, Docker, Terraform, and the Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).Develop data ETL processing and analytics workflows using tools like Apache Spark, Argo, and Kubernetes.Design relational database schemas using PostgreSQL and queries using SQL and GraphQL.Work with the Product Management team to align features with customer needs and address their problems effectively.Build integrations with third-party APIs that enable high-value customer experiences.Modify existing software to balance agility with quality, performance, and maintainability; create reusable code and libraries for future useMentor interns and new hires as the company grows.Salary Offered: $200K per yearPartner with other engineers and designers to create fast and beautiful end-to-end user experiences Build web applications on AWS ecosystem Balance agility with quality, performance, and maintainability; create reusable code and libraries for future use Shape product strategy and guide feature prioritization Conduct proof of concept activities with customers in support of use cases Lead and mentor other team members as the company grows Build the company you want to work atQualificationsBachelors or foreign academic equivalent in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field3+ years of experience in software development positions3+ years of experience working with Linux/Unix, Bash, ETL, SQL, Apache Spark, Docker and TerraformStrong CS fundamentals with a track record of writing production-quality code Full stack development experience with expertise in React frontend framework and technologies Experience with GraphQL and NodeJS (preferably NestJS) Experience with building web applications on AWS ecosystem (Some) experience with SSO and web authentication Experience with different stores like S3, Typesense, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, PostgreSQL Excellent product/design sense and attention to detail B.S. in Computer Science with 7+ years of experience PLUS: Development experience in Github Actions or Cloudformation or Terraform
