MEC is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist who will lead full-cycle recruiting for professional exempt positions across various locations and internal functions. We need a qualified candidate to partner closely with hiring manager and HR leadership working towards a shared goal of attracting, assessing, and hiring high-caliber talent. You will be an independent process owner leading continuous improvement projects, tracking and reporting key performance metrics, and advising internal partners on best practices within the talent area. This candidate will also be involved in initiatives to strengthen employer branding and the employer value proposition (EVP).
Location/Schedule: Flexible Hybrid (office-centric culture, willing to figure out what works best for everyone)
ResponsibilitiesOwns the full-cycle recruiting process for professional exempt roles, from intake through offer acceptance.
Partners with hiring managers to develop effective candidate sourcing strategies that attract ideal candidates, including direct sourcing, referrals, or external partners.
Creates applicant pools and talent pipelines by posting and promoting job openings.
Evaluates applications, reviews resumes, completes phone screens, and conducts interviews to determine candidate fit.
Supports employee value proposition branding, campus and outreach recruiting, and internal key talent projects.
Ensures compliance with all applicable employment laws and internal hiring policies.
Tracks recruiting metrics and uses data to improve sourcing effectiveness, time-to-fill, and quality of hire.
QualificationsJob Skills Requirements
Demonstrated success leveraging enterprise Applicant Tracking Systems and recruiting/job posting platforms
Strong organization and time management/project management skills necessary to prioritize and manage a requisition load alongside other projects
Demonstrated success recruiting passive candidates and filling hard-to-find skill sets
Strong consultative skills with the ability to influence and advise hiring managers
Exhibits sound judgment and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential situations and information
Proven ability to work independently and apply fact-based decision making
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in human resources, or related field.
Experience Requirements
Three years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, human resources, or related field.
Experience with direct hiring from within an organization preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
