Join us on this meaningful journey where your skills, compassion and dedication will make a remarkable difference in the lives of those we serve.As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care to patients in accordance withapplicable scope and standards of practice.How you'll contributeUnder the direction of an RN, contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RNEstablishes and maintains efficient methods of ensuring the medical necessity and appropriateness of all hospital admissions while obtaining precertifications.Performs admission and concurrent precerts for patients to ensure that the claim has an authorization number to prevent denials.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with payors, staff, etc.Reviews charts for clinical information to obtain precertification.Maintains proper telephone etiquette to referral sources.Manage patients along with RN case manger supervision.Evaluate patient status is correct per medical necessity for appropriate reimbursement.Non-Essential FunctionsReview and comply with LifePoint Code of Conduct and all relevant Company and Division policies and procedures.Why join usWe believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care.
