Overview In this role you will lead the development of natural gas generation projects to support integrated energy solutions for large commercial and industrial customers. You will work across a cross-functional team to take projects from concept through construction handoff, ensuring safety, feasibility, and timely delivery. You will shape strategies for siting, permitting, interconnection, and fuel supply while engaging with stakeholders and partners. This is a hands-on role that blends project development with commercial strategy to accelerate the energy transition. Compensation / Benefitsmedical, dental, and vision coveragelife insurance401(k) eligibilitypaid time off (vacation, sick leave)parial?nal leave ResponsibilitiesLead gas generation project development from site identification through construction supportCollaborate with Commercial, Data Center Development, Renewable Generation Development, Solutions Engineering, and other teams to develop integrated Powered Land SolutionsEvaluate feasibility through siting, fuel supply, interconnection, infrastructure, and permitting strategiesManage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, financial models, and development risk registersCoordinate pipeline identification, utility engagement, and fuel supply strategy while supporting commercial negotiationsEngage stakeholders including engineering consultants, permitting agencies, landowners, utilities, customers, and contractors to advance milestonesSupport discretionary permitting, public meetings, regulatory engagement, and environmental diligenceCoordinate engineering, site due diligence, land activities, and infrastructure planning to stay on scheduleManage contracts and ensure compliance with site control, fuel supply, and commercial agreementsIdentify project risks and communicate updates to leadership and stakeholdersSupport project financing due diligence and maintain accurate documentation in AES systemsLead successful project handoffs to Construction after development milestonesRepresent AES professionally and build relationships with customers, partners, regulators, and communities Key requirementsExperience developing natural gas generation or large-scale energy infrastructureBachelor degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics, Environmental Science, or related fieldKnowledge of project development, permitting, utility coordination, interconnection, pipeline infrastructure, and commercial contractingExperience with fuel supply strategies, utilities, pipeline operators, or integrated energy infrastructureFamiliarity with gas generation technologiesAbility to collaborate across technical, commercial, and customer-facing teamsExperience supporting data centers or powered land projects (preferred)Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent written, verbal, and presentation skills across diverse audiencesAbility to balance multiple projects in a dynamic environmentWillingness to travelCollaborative mindsetStrong communication and presentation skillsMultitasking and prioritizationKnowledge of gas generation technologiesProject development and permitting processesUtility coordination and interconnection
