WE Cafe Kitchen Assistant

Urban Ministry's WE Cafe is now hiring an Assistant. The right applicant must be at least 19 years old, detail oriented, able to love people and lift at least pounds. Duties include, but are not limited to, preparing and serving meals, stocking and rotating inventory, washing dishes along with other cleaning duties. This is a full time, Monday-Friday position with weekends and federal holidays off. Position includes accrued PTO and free health insurance. Assist with daily operations and provide leadership to kitchen staff Ensure all recipes are followed with a commitment to quality Maintain an orderly and sanitized kitchen Supervise and coach staff Have a minimum of 1 year of hospitality experience Able to adapt to a variety of situations and scenarios Able to communicate effectively Must have Servsafe certificate or can obtain one within 60 days Job Type: Full-time Pay: $30,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year Experience: Cooking: 1 year (Required) Ability to Commute: Birmingham, AL 35211 (Required) Work Location: In person
