Sook also offers a full food and beverage program, including counter-service food and beverage that highlights prepared dishes, alongside a wine bar available throughout the day. The counter service experience is designed to deliver efficient, high-quality food and beverage offerings with the same level of care, consistency, and hospitality as a full-service restaurant. Position: Team Member - Sook  Reports To: Compass Rose AGM, Maydan AGM, Director of Restaurants Purpose: The team member provides customer services, sales, and f&b service at Sook. Under the Compass Rose AGM and Sook Retail Manager, the team supports the management team and other hourly team members to ensure that Sook presents the  culture and values of No White Plates, creating a positive, respectful and professional work environment for all employees.  Who You Are:  Two (2) years of experience in the direction and experience in a similar environment  Knowledge of retail operations Strong background in retail sales and inventory management Background in restaurant or wine bar service Wine knowledge is a must Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship building skills High-level organizational skills with multi-tasking capabilities  Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage workloads with minimal direction.  Dependable, highly motivated and high attention to detail and follow through.  Passion and a commitment to deliver outstanding customer service. RBS Certified Food Handler’s Card What You Do:  Work with the Retail Lead and Compass AGM to operate Sook to the No White Plate’s standard following all company SOPs Represent, support, and protect the brand.  Actively monitor food and beverage quality at Sook to ensure adherence with the company’s standards. Provide timely feedback to managers and help lead action to correct any issues when needed.  Understand all aspects of the company’s retail operations, sales, order fulfillment, and customer service Bodega and counter-service food and beverage execution, including service of prepared food items and beverage offerings with attention to speed, quality, and presentation Anticipate customer needs and addresses them proactively  Work to maintain the visual standard of the shops by regularly restocking, remerchandising and cleaning Operations Verify and conduct, when necessary, reach in, walk in, and any other Sook storage checks and production walks. Ensure both are being completed in compliance with the company’s systems and standards.   Actively monitor all Sook areas to ensure systems are being followed and guests are enjoying their experience.  Technology and platform use - (GoTab, G-Suite, etc.) Maintain strict adherence to proper food safety and sanitation procedures.  Actively manage housekeeping systems and opening and closing checklists. Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents.  Ensure all new policies and procedures are adopted and executed in the restaurant Assist in Sook white label production, labeling, and inventory  People  Lead by example in both retail and food & beverage service, setting the standard for hospitality, product knowledge, and execution across all guest interactions Collaborate with FOH team members to deliver a seamless counter-service food and beverage experience, ensuring alignment with No White Plates standards in both service and product Maintain clear, proactive communication with management regarding service flow, food and beverage quality, and guest experience Physical Requirements Able to work 8-hour plus shifts Able to stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time Able to grasp, lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs. as needed Finger/hand dexterity to operate bar tools and knives Able to withstand changes in temperature, steam and heat Able to work in a confined area Must possess hearing, visual and sensory abilities to observe and detect emergency situations; also, to distinguish product, taste, texture, temperature, presentation and preparation Disclaimer:  The job description provided above does not encompass all duties and standards associated with the position.
