Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer, Cloud, you design and build cloud-enabled systems to remotely manage Hyperfine devices and handle large-scale data life cycles. You’ll collaborate with product, UI/UX, and clinical experts to tackle MRI-related software challenges and deliver a user-friendly cloud experience. Your work supports secure data storage, device connectivity, and compliance within a regulated medical environment. ResponsibilitiesDevelop cloud-based software and APIs with a focus on data storage, retrieval, security, and maintainabilityRapidly learn new tooling and frameworks to build microservices and RESTful APIsAdopt new policies and evolve existing methodologies across projectsDesign and implement medical web application systems for large-scale internal and external projects, documenting architecture and specsParticipate in code reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teamsDefine high-level architecture and oversee deployment, release, and post-release supportMentor and support other cloud engineers in areas of expertiseMaintain familiarity with compliance standards for regulated medical devicesContribute code for cloud connectivity in medical device software (OTA updates, Telemetry, MIoT, PACS relay)
Key requirements8+ years of software experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years with a Master’s in Computer Science or related fieldExperience building cloud services on AWS, GCP, or AzureBackend web development with Python and API design (Node.js, Flask/Nginx, PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy)Frontend web development (JavaScript/TypeScript, React)Experience translating requirements into web applications with cross-functional teamsRegulated environment experience (preferred)Strong written and verbal communication; ability to participate in on-call rotationscollaboration with cross-functional teamscommunication and documentationmentoring othersAWS, GCP, or AzurePython backend developmentAPI design and REST services
