On-site Network Technician

Job Title: Field Engineer Location: Brooklyn, NY Project Beginning: 2 Days Notice We are currently seeking a dedicated Field Engineer to join our team and work on-site at the Parsons location in Brooklyn, NY. The ideal candidate should possess a car, have basic networking knowledge, and be skilled in Layer-1 troubleshooting with some experience in physical hardware installation. Knowledge of power plants/generators is a plus, and the candidate should be prepared to go on-site for troubleshooting and work in rotational shifts. Key Responsibilities: On-Site Troubleshooting: Respond promptly to on-site troubleshooting requests at the Parsons location in Brooklyn, NY. Diagnose and resolve issues related to networking, hardware, and other field-related concerns. Basic Networking Knowledge: Demonstrate fundamental knowledge of networking principles and protocols. Troubleshoot network-related problems and provide effective solutions. Layer-1 Troubleshooting: Conduct Layer-1 troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues at the physical layer of the network. Address connectivity problems, cable issues, and hardware malfunctions. Physical Hardware Installation: Install and configure physical hardware components as needed. Ensure proper setup and functionality of hardware devices. Knowledge of Power Plant/Generator: Possess knowledge of power plant and generator systems. Understand the interaction between networking infrastructure and power-related components. On-Site Rotational Shifts: Be prepared to work in rotational shifts to provide 24/7 on-site support. Collaborate with other team members to ensure continuous coverage. Qualifications: · Car ownership for on-site travel is mandatory. · Basic understanding of networking principles and protocols. · Proficiency in Layer-1 troubleshooting and resolving connectivity issues. · Hands-on experience with physical hardware installation. · Knowledge of power plant/generator systems (preferred). · Willingness to go on-site for troubleshooting assignments. · Availability for rotational shifts. · If you are a motivated Field Engineer with the necessary skills and a commitment to providing on-site support, we encourage you to apply.
