About the Role: The Associate IT Infrastructure Support Technician is responsible for maintaining and supporting operational technology (OT) and IT network infrastructure within a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on network reliability, system integration, troubleshooting, and ensuring secure and efficient connectivity between IT and OT systems. Client Information: This client operates in the manufacturing industry, requiring robust IT and OT infrastructure support to ensure reliable and secure operations within their industrial setting. Responsibilities: • Monitor and maintain OT network infrastructure including switches, routers, and firewalls • Perform hardware and software upgrades within OT environments • Troubleshoot network connectivity, configuration issues, and hardware failures • Support repair and replacement of manufacturing PC workstations • Diagnose hardware issues, replace components, and install required software • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration between IT and OT systems • Implement and support cybersecurity measures for OT systems and data • Maintain documentation for network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting • Provide technical support and training to end users on OT systems • Participate in network upgrade and improvement projects Qualification: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience) • Bachelors Degree Required Skills: • Proven experience in network support, preferably in OT or manufacturing environments • Strong knowledge of VLAN, LAN, WAN, firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless technologies • Understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP and UDP • Experience in PC hardware/software troubleshooting and repair • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Preferred Skills: • Familiarity with SCADA, PLC, and Industrial IoT systems • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices • Relevant certifications such as Cisco or CompTIA Network+
