Title: Sr. Network Staging Technician - Staging & DeploymentLocation: Sparks, NVPosition SummaryWe are seeking a Network Engineer II to support operations within our Optical Depot / Distribution Center. This role is responsible for the intake, configuration, testing, staging, and preparation of network equipment for deployment to field locations across the region.The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with enterprise network implementation and support, along with a strong understanding of routing protocols, network hardware, security technologies, and infrastructure performance optimization.**W2 ONLY, no sponsorship offered**Key Responsibilities Support the Optical Team within the Optical Depot / Distribution CenterIntake, track, and process network equipment inventory for deploymentConfigure, test, and stage network hardware for shipment to field sitesPerform rack and stack activities for deployments and site installationsPlan and implement enterprise network infrastructure, including hardware and softwareDesign and document network architecture and configurationsAssess existing technologies to identify performance or capacity gapsEstablish and maintain network security, including:FirewallsIntrusion Detection Systems (IDS)Configure connectivity and access parameters across enterprise environmentsProvide recommendations to optimize network infrastructure performanceTest, tune, and maintain security devices and systemsProgram and configure routers and switchesSupport implementation of communications technologies (data and/or voice)Manage network services from planning through implementation phasesRequired Qualifications 2–5 years of experience in network engineering or network support rolesMust have strong understanding of: routing protocols, network hardware and software, security technologies, enterprise network infrastructure, set-up cisco routers, switches, secure network infrastructure deployments. Hands-on experience configuring and deploying routers and switches.Highly prefer candidate that have staged network equipment prior to field deployment, verifying connectivity, performance, and ensuring readiness for installation teams.
