Jr. Buyer

Position Overview:A growing manufacturing company is adding a Jr. Buyer to support increased production demand. The purchasing department is currently a team of one, so this role will help manage supplier communication, purchase orders, and material flow to support production. The company is also in the process of transitioning to a new ERP system, so the role will involve working with a more manual system during the implementation period.Key Responsibilities:Review production schedules and determine purchasing needsCreate and manage purchase orders for raw materials, components, and hardwareCommunicate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, and delivery timelinesTrack orders and follow up on late or missing shipmentsWork cross-functionally with production and engineering to resolve material issuesMaintain purchasing records in the ERP systemHelp identify cost savings opportunities and alternate suppliersAssist with inventory levels and reorder points to support productionRequirements:3-5+ years of buying or purchasing experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience placing purchase orders and communicating with suppliersComfortable negotiating pricing and managing vendor relationshipsExperience working with ERP systems (manual systems acceptable)Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
