Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Adobe's private cloudLocation: Remote (US) / San Jose, CA / Lehi, UTRate: $65/HrWhat You'll DoOwn and operate the physical infrastructure that powers Adobe's private cloud, including compute, storage, and networking hardwarePerform day-2 operations for datacenter hardware, including installation, break/fix, firmware upgrades, patching, and lifecycle managementManage hardware capacity planning, expansion, refresh cycles, and decommissioningTroubleshoot complex production issues across: Server hardware (CPU, memory, disks, NICs, HBAs); Storage systems and disk subsystems; Network connectivity and physical switchingManage firmware, BIOS, and hardware management controllers (iDRAC, iLO, Redfish)Partner with platform, SRE, networking, storage, and security teams during incidents and planned maintenanceImprove infrastructure reliability through standardization, automation, and proactive monitoringBuild and maintain automation for hardware provisioning and operations using tools such as Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-codeLead incident response, root-cause analysis, and drive corrective and preventative actionsCreate and maintain operational documentation, hardware standards, runbooks, and on-call playbooksMentor junior engineers and raise the operational maturity of the private cloud hardware platformWhat You Need to Succeed7+ years of experience in infrastructure or datacenter engineeringStrong hands-on experience managing server, storage, and networking hardware in large-scale production environmentsDeep understanding of x86 server architectures, including CPU topology, memory configurations, NUMA, and I/O subsystemsExperience operating enterprise storage systems (local and shared) and understanding performance, resiliency, and failure modesFamiliarity with datacenter networking concepts, including L2/L3, VLANs, bonding, and physical switchingStrong Linux fundamentals and experience troubleshooting hardware-related OS issuesExperience with hardware lifecycle management, capacity planning, and vendor coordinationProven ability to automate infrastructure operations and reduce manual workExperience supporting highly available infrastructure with on-call responsibilitiesNice to HaveExperience operating hardware platforms for private cloud or on-prem cloud environmentsFamiliarity with vendor server fleet management tools like OME, OneView, and IntersightFamiliarity with bare-metal provisioning frameworks and automation toolingExperience integrating hardware platforms with virtualization or container platformsKnowledge of Redfish, IPMI, or modern hardware management APIsVendor certifications or hands-on experience with major server and storage manufacturersExperience operating infrastructure at multi-datacenter or global scaleJ-18808-Ljbffr
