Sterile Processing Tech Location: Boston, MA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,285 per week Shift Information: 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/19/2026 About the Position Job Title: Central Sterile Technician Profession: Central Sterile Technician Specialty: Central Sterile Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required; 2-4 years preferred License: Not applicable Certifications: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) required Must-Have: High school diploma or equivalent required; no experience in lieu of a degree accepted Description: Responsible for performing sterilization procedures on medical instruments and equipment in accordance with established procedures, infection control standards, industry standards, recommended practices on sterilization, and regulatory requirements. Does this position require patient care? No. Essential Functions: Processes specialty and general instruments. Resets instrument sets without error. Decontaminates instruments and equipment according to procedure. Maintains Central Sterile Department stock levels. Prepares and assembles surgical trays and equipment following established tray listings for issue, storage, or further processing. Communicates instrument repair needs to supervisor. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of case cart assembly. Familiarity with the regulatory standards of materials management. Conducts tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance. Unit Description: Schedule is Monday to Friday with rotating weekends. Start date is based on credentialing clearance. If not cleared by the posted start date, a rescheduled start date will be necessary.
