Process Engineer IV
Overview
In this role you will design, develop and implement advanced technologies and processes for product development and enhancement. You will collaborate with Engineering to ensure smooth handoff of new products, processes and materials while supporting manufacturing with technical guidance. You will analyze materials performance, test hypotheses, and verify durability in manufacturing and environmental conditions. You will drive quality metrics through material lifecycle management and contribute to design reviews and documentation. ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop and implement new technologies and processes for product development and enhancementsEvaluate and recommend new materials/technologies for factory use, including obsolescence assessmentsTest raw materials and finished products to ensure qualityAnalyze failure data and test results to identify root causes and solutionsUse tools (CBS, statistical methods, DOE, FMEA) to qualify new processes and equipmentMonitor material performance and deterioration, assess equipment/c.process risksDirect testing or control of processing procedures and design tooling needs with shop collaborationCreate/modify documentation: procedures, work instructions, material specificationsAssess economic factors related to design objectives and evaluate new equipmentReview product plans and advise on material selection based on strength, weight, heat resistance, conductivity and cost
