Program Content Specialist
Job Description: MHP is a Virginia 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides resource coordination services and educational support to families of children with special needs. Since 2010, MHP has held a sole-source contract to administer the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Medication Administration Training (MAT) Program. The MAT Program is responsible for training and certifying non-healthcare professionals in licensed and regulated child day programs and accredited private school programs to safely administer medication to children in their care. Additionally, MHP is responsible for the management and compliance of a statewide nurse trainer force, as well as the program’s curriculum, content, policies and procedures.This part-time hourly Program Content position serves as a liaison to the curriculum content and our providers and trainers statewide. MHP is seeking a highly skilled individual to fill this role—and applicants must have strong computer skills; knowledge and use of Excel, Moodle, Freshdesk and entry-level database skills are all a plus. Experience with content development, especially curriculum development is also preferred. Required Qualifications: Administrative experience, strong customer service skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work autonomously under general supervision, high degree of self-motivation, and attention to detail.Structural Relationship: This position will work in collaboration with the Operational Management team of MHP, who will make work assignments and workflow decisions as needed.Content Development Responsibilities· Content & Curriculum Updates: *Responsible for regular maintenance of the MAT Program’s Curriculum(s) and materials, and for ongoing content updates, as needed.· Content Development: *Responsible for content development for new program courses and materials. Assist with preparations for video shoots. *In collaboration with the Programs Operations Manager and Systems Operations Manager. Program Support ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service: Provide daily support for the MAT Customer Service System and phone system. Respond to low-level requests within 1 business day. Coordinate coverage and high-level needs with the MAT Program Manager. Provide phone and voicemail support for the MAT Program’s direct extension.Database Management: Link unassigned providers in the database on a monthly basis. Enter missing qualifying certificate dates in the database on a monthly basis. In collaboration with the MAT Program Manager, provide ongoing maintenance of program administrator accounts and program information in the database.Professional Licensure Verification: Maintain and update trainer nursing license expiration list on a monthly basis.Program Revenue Support: Oversee trainer certificate invoices in Square. Send two invoice reminders between the 6th and 21st of each month. Issue strikes and penalty fees to trainers with overdue invoices.Training Events: Assist the MAT Program Manager with the printing of documents, preparation of materials and purchasing of supplies for MAT Training of Trainer (MAT TOT) Courses, hosted 2-3 times per year. Assist with setup, as needed and requested. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required, to be scheduled in advance.Fulfill other program-related tasks and projects as assigned by MHP’s management staff. Additional ResponsibilitiesGeneral Administrative Support- Work with MHP operational management staff to provide general administrative tasks on a weekly basis, as assigned. Examples include but are not limited to: answering phones, assisting with incoming and outgoing mail, ordering office supplies, helping to schedule and prepare for meetings, making copies and filing, etc.Fundraising Support- Provide support to MHP’s fundraising activities and annual gala, Uncork Hope, as needed and assigned. This may include some after-hours engagement, to be scheduled in advance.Fulfill other tasks and projects as assigned by MHP’s management staff.
