Senior Java Full-Stack Developer

We're seeking a Senior Java Full-Stack Developer for an onsite role in Woodlawn MD to own critical internal MDE platform applications end-to-end — backend services, data modeling, security, server-rendered UI, testing, and CI/CD — within client's internal enterprise tooling ecosystem (Stash/Bitbucket, Jenkins, Spring Cloud Config, OpenShift). Ideal for a self-sufficient engineer comfortable being the primary developer on production applications relied upon by other teams.What You'll DoOwn end-to-end development of Spring Boot / Java applications: backend services, REST/OpenAPI APIs, and server-rendered UI (Thymeleaf/Mustache, Bootstrap, HTMX, jQuery).Design and evolve PostgreSQL data models (JPA/Hibernate, Liquibase/Flyway migrations, schema/role management).Implement authentication/authorization: LDAP/Active Directory, JWT (RS256), OAuth2, Spring Security.Maintain a large, actively-curated Maven dependency tree, including internal SSA/MDE libraries.Build and maintain automated tests: JUnit 5/Mockito, Cucumber/BDD, Selenium, and Parasoft SOAtest suites, plus enforced code-coverage gates.Support Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and Spring Cloud Config–driven environment configs across lifecycle environments; read/debug/extend Groovy-based Jenkins shared library pipeline code.Support Python automation tooling and troubleshoot Helm-based deployments to OpenShift/Kubernetes.Collaborate via Git PRs in Stash/Bitbucket and maintain internal documentation (Confluence, Jira Service Desk).Required Qualifications10+ years professional Java development with strong Spring Boot 3.x expertise (Spring MVC, Data JPA, Security, Session, LDAP).Solid PostgreSQL and JPA/Hibernate experience.Practical JWT/OAuth2/LDAP authentication experience.Server-rendered UI experience (Thymeleaf/Mustache + Bootstrap/jQuery/HTMX).Strong testing background: JUnit 5, Mockito, Cucumber, Selenium.Comfortable with Maven multi-module/parent-POM builds and plugin configuration (JaCoCo, Surefire/Failsafe).Experience with Eclipse IDE and Lombok.Working knowledge of Groovy (Jenkins pipelines), basic Python scripting, and familiarity with Helm/Kubernetes/OpenShift concepts.Strong independent problem-solving skills; able to own a production app with minimal supervision.DesiredParasoft SOAtest experience (Maven plugin integration, DTP reporting) — a strong differentiator.Federal/government or highly regulated enterprise development background.Experience authoring/maintaining Jenkins Groovy shared libraries, writing Helm charts, and scripting in Python.Familiarity with OpenShift deployment models and progressive delivery/release governance concepts.DevOps/observability exposure (Docker Compose, Grafana, TimescaleDB)
