Job Description: We are seeking a skilled String Line Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience setting up and maintaining string lines for curb and gutter machine operations, ensuring precise alignment and elevation throughout the installation process. Key Responsibilities: Set up and align string lines for curb and gutter machine operations with precision Work closely with site foreman to ensure proper grade and alignment throughout the project Establish string lines according to project specifications to achieve optimal results Interpret and understand job site stakes and markers accurately Regularly inspect string lines for tension and make necessary adjustments for optimal alignment Maintain clear and effective communication with crew members to ensure project deadlines are met Conduct quality checks on completed work and implement adjustments as needed Read and interpret project plans and specifications to execute tasks efficiently and accurately Support other crews by performing various tasks such as saw cutting, breaking down forms, pouring concrete, and more to facilitate smooth project progression Constantly monitor environmental conditions such as rain, wind, heat, and cold to assess their effects on concrete pouring and curing throughout the project Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean worksite Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a String Line Technician is preferred Familiarity with curb and gutter machine operations and construction processes Strong understanding of leveling & measuring tools and techniques Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work Experience with concrete finishing & forming is preferred Exhibit strong problem-solving skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Physical requirements Ability to lift 50 or more pounds Physical dexterity to pour, grade, and finish concrete, involving movements such as lifting, carrying, bending, crawling, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and crouching Good physical stamina and strength to perform demanding tasks Capability to work outdoors and adapt to varying weather conditions Ability to stand for extended periods Benefits: Opportunities for overtime Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays 401(k) plan with company matching Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: Monday to Friday Overtime Weekends as needed Year round work Ability to Relocate: Ocala, FL 34474: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
