Travel RN - Med/Surg

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Transitional Care night shift position at a hospital in Portland, ME, requiring acute care experience and Epic proficiency.Job Details• Hospital-based Med/Surg Transitional Care unit (LTC/SNF-level), located in Portland, ME,• 46-bed unit serving a mixed medical and surgical patient population that is medically ready for discharge,• Maximum patient ratio of 1:8,• Equipment includes specialty beds (Stryker, Synergy Air), Philips vital sign monitors, overhead lifts, Sara Steady, bladder scanner, hover mat, Sage mat, standing scale, stretchers, wheelchairs, walkers, and slide boards,• EMR: Epic,• Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM,• Every other weekend required,• No on-call requirements,• Floating may be required based on skillset, including a 25-mile float policy between facilities as needed,Job Requirements• Active ME RN license or compact RN license currently in hand,• Current BLS certification required,• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required,• Recent acute care experience required,• EMR/charting experience required; Epic experience preferred,• Driver's License required for consideration,• SSN and DOB required for consideration,• 2 professional references required for consideration,Additional Information• Provide patient-centered transitional care to medical and surgical patients preparing for discharge,• Healthstream education modules required as part of onboarding,• Scrubs may be any color; facility is fragrance-free,• Prohibited attire includes artificial nails, hoodies, graphic t-shirts, open-toed shoes, and any unprofessional dress or grooming,• Personal electronic devices including AirPods, laptops, and cell phones are not permitted on the unit,• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (in Maine or New Hampshire) are considered local and are not eligible for extensions or renewals,• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position,
