File Clerk
We are looking for an organized File Clerk to do file management and maintenance. You will organize paperwork according to an efficient filing system and digitalize all important documents. You will be expected to protect and update files as well as make them easily accessible. Candidate must be organized and possess a serious understanding of confidentiality and data protection. The ideal candidate will be skilled in computers and detail-oriented. Candidate must be very energetic, have a great attitude and be a fast learner. Candidate must be able to handle heavy amounts of filing, and able to lift more than 25 lbs.
Responsibilities
Check incoming paperwork (correspondence, discovery, pleadings etc.)
Maintain file room logs to track the location of files
File and retrieve documents for other personnel
Prepare records for off-site storage
Destroying outdated files following protocol, or moving these to inactive storage.
Candidate will also provide support to receptionist when needed.
Process incoming mail, and distribute accordingly
Create or update records with new files and information
Store all paperwork in designated places securing the important documents
Enter paperwork into an electronic system either by data entry or by using optical scanner.
Skills
Proven experience as filing and scanning clerk
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
Knowledge of filing systems
Proficient with using computers, and MS Office Word and Excel, Photocopy and facsimile machines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Dependable with a respect to confidentiality and policies
Excellent organizational skills
Great attention to detail
Salary: D.O.E.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
