As a Behavioral Health Representative I Float, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our on-site Behavioral Health providers and helping patients receive the care they deserve.Role Highlights: Manage schedules, assist with vitals, and facilitate communication between providers and patientsWork Environment Benefits: Experience a supportive and collaborative team atmosphere where your contributions are valuedImpact and Growth Opportunities: Be part of a mission-driven organization that offers growth prospects and personal developmentTeam Collaboration Aspects: Work closely with a dedicated team to ensure the best outcomes for our patientsMission-Driven Elements: Contribute to the well-being of our community by providing essential support to our healthcare providersKey ResponsibilitiesArrange language line interpretation services to ensure effective communicationSort or dispense mail and faxes efficientlyAssist new patients with the registration process, including sending VSC and follow-upManage EHR and continuity of care lists to optimize patient accessMaintain and manage waitlists for all Behavioral Health ServicesProcess and follow up on Behavioral Health internal service ordersObtain vital signs on patients and enter them into EHRS promptlyAttend required all-staff meetings and participate in team discussionsComplete reminder calls to all unconfirmed patients for better appointment adherenceProcess psychological testing prior authorizations efficientlyAnswer phones and retrieve voicemail messages, ensuring timely responsesProvide data entry and administrative support to the teamComplete prior authorizations for medications as neededAssist with triaging behavioral health emergencies with care and urgencyHandle blood draws, injections, EKGs, and drug screens with professionalismProcess lab service orders in EMR accuratelyProvide clinic/site coverage and travel for coverage as needed, showing flexibilityPromote effective working relations and work as part of a cohesive teamAttend required safety training programs to ensure a safe working environmentMaintain work area and equipment in compliance with Legacy standardsDemonstrate proper body mechanics in all functions to prevent injuriesAssure a safe environment by instituting appropriate control measuresAttend annual education programs to stay updated on best practicesPerform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the teamMinimum QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED is requiredBLS (CPR & AED) Certified requiredThree to six months of related experience preferredOne year certificate from college or technical school preferredFamiliarity with BH preferredFamiliarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and ExcelGood direct and telephone communication skillsMust be able to work in a team settingLeadership ability for program management and growthCommunication/interpersonal skills to interact with various backgroundsAbility to coordinate multiple activities simultaneouslyComputer skills, especially in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferredAbout Legacy Community HealthAs the largest Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Southeast Texas, Legacy Community Health has been delivering comprehensive, high-quality, and affordable health care for nearly 40 years.
