Join the Kelly Professional & Industrial team as a **Senior Avionics Technician** in Savannah, GA.Avionics Technician Sr**Pay Rate:** $36.05 per hour**Duration:** 48-month contract**Location:** Savannah, GA 31408**Schedule:** 5:30 AM - 4:30 PMPosition PurposeIndependently perform a variety of aircraft modifications and maintenance functions including removal and installation of airframes, landing gear, engine components, electrical components, and control systems to ensure compliance with procedures, performance standards, and test specifications.Key Responsibilities+ Perform periodic maintenance and servicing of aircraft mechanical systems within standard CMP time.+ Remove and install major aircraft components including airframes, landing gear, engines, and control systems.+ Provide work direction and technical guidance to assigned technicians; promote quality standards.+ Act on behalf of the Mechanical Team Lead (MTL) when assigned.+ Coordinate with Inspection to ensure compliance with internal and FAA documentation requirements.+ Complete work order sign-offs, shift turnovers, and required documentation accurately and timely.+ Tag, secure, and store customer property and aircraft components appropriately.+ Operate ground support equipment (power supply, hydraulic rigs, nitrogen and oxygen carts) in accordance with SOPs and JSAs.+ Coordinate aircraft movement and support flight test installations as required.+ Assist in training employees on maintenance manuals, SRMs, IPC usage, CMP systems, and major component maintenance.+ Utilize material tracking systems to create parts demand and charge labor to correct work orders.+ Apply 6S and Lean initiatives to maintain clean, safe work areas.+ Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain company-provided tools and equipment.+ Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications+ High School Diploma or GED required.+ Minimum four (4) years of Aviation Maintenance experience.+ At least three (3) years of experience on mid- to large-size aircraft required.+ Corporate aircraft experience preferred.+ FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic Certificate required.+ Valid Driver's License required.+ Advanced knowledge of aircraft inspection and maintenance procedures across multiple systems.+ Strong understanding of maintenance manuals, IPCs, SRMs, engineering drawings, and service bulletins.+ Working knowledge of FAA regulations, Repair Station requirements, and Quality Control manuals.+ Strong leadership, communication, and documentation skills.If you're an experienced aviation professional ready to take on a senior-level role with leadership responsibilities and high-performance aircraft, apply today and take your career to the next level.As part of our promise to talent, Kelly supports those who work with us through a variety of benefits, perks, and work-related resources.
