TRUTH BBQ, a fast growing craft BBQ concept out of Houston, Texas is looking for a senior level GM to lead operations and growth alongside a young, enthusiastic team of senior leaders in finance, marketing, training and catering. The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the flagship location, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staff performance, controlling costs, and driving profitability. The GM leads the team to maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and operational efficiency while creating a positive dining experience for guests. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with a proven track record in the following areas:Operations:Oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure smooth serviceMaintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulationsMonitor food quality, presentation, and customer satisfactionEnsure restaurant cleanliness and organization standards are metManage opening and closing proceduresPeople:Recruit, hire, train, and supervise restaurant employeesCreate employee schedules and manage labor costsConduct performance evaluations and provide coachingFoster a positive and productive work environmentResolve employee conflicts and disciplinary issuesHospitality:Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionallyEnsure guests receive excellent service and hospitalityBuild customer relationships and encourage repeat businessMonitor online reviews and customer satisfaction trendsFinance:Manage budgets, sales targets, and profitability goalsControl food, beverage, and labor costsAnalyze financial reports and operational metricsOversee inventory management and orderingImplement strategies to increase revenue and reduce wasteRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred7-10 years of restaurant management experienceExpert knowledge in purchasing and protein management, COGSStrong leadership and team management skillsExcellent communication and customer service abilitiesKnowledge of restaurant POS systems and inventory managementAbility to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidaysStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsPreferences:Strong financial and business acumenKnowledge of food safety standards and labor lawsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environmentExperience managing high-volume restaurant operations
