We can’t wait to see what you can do!Bakelite is seeking a Technical Sales Representative in the Southern US. This position is a sales level position that supports the service requirements of Building and Construction - Western Region clients and reports to the Business Manager for Building and Construction in.Essential Functions Ensures growth of existing accounts by supporting in plant sales/service activities in thermostat chemistry for the woos adhesives industry. Assesses potential application of company products or services and offers solutions that meet customer needs. Research and present reports showing potential customers the cost benefit of purchasing company products or services. Uses technical knowledge of product offerings and customer processes to support and build sales. Update Sales and Operations planning on sales forecasts. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Great understanding and working knowledge of polymer chemistry. Education & Experience:Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or 2-5 years of industrial sales or wood industry experience Experience in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Willing to travel up to 70% of the time. Must have a background in the Oriented Strand or Particle Board/MDF Industry and located or willing to relocate to the East Texas/Louisiana Good interpersonal communication. Adhere to company safety policies and work requirements. Uses newly gained knowledge and skill on the job and learning through their application.
