Location: Remote – Anywhere in the United States Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship Visa Sponsorship: Not availablePosition SummaryWe are looking for a detail-oriented Software QA Engineer specializing in Manual Testing to join our product and engineering team. This role will be responsible for validating web, mobile, and software applications through hands-on functional, regression, integration, usability, and exploratory testing.The ideal candidate has strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, can translate product requirements into comprehensive test scenarios, and is skilled at identifying, documenting, reproducing, and communicating software defects.This is primarily a manual QA position. Test automation experience is beneficial but is not required.Key ResponsibilitiesReview product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, UI/UX designs, and technical documentation to identify test requirements.Prior experience with wearables preferred. Create detailed test plans, test scenarios, test cases, checklists, and test data.Perform manual functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and usability testing.Validate end-to-end user workflows and business processes.Perform API validation using tools such as Postman when required.Validate application behavior across different devices, screen resolutions, operating systems, and network conditions.Verify database and backend data where required using basic SQL queries.Perform positive, negative, boundary-value, error-handling, and edge-case testing.Conduct regression testing for new releases, bug fixes, and software updates.Identify, reproduce, document, and track defects through resolution.Write clear defect reports including reproduction steps, expected behavior, actual behavior, screenshots, videos, logs, and severity/priority.Work closely with developers, product managers, designers, business analysts, and other QA engineers to resolve defects.Verify bug fixes and perform targeted regression testing.Participate in Agile/Scrum activities including sprint planning, grooming, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.Maintain test cases and regression suites as product functionality evolves.Participate in release-readiness and go/no-go discussions.Perform production validation and post-release smoke testing when required.Identify gaps in requirements and proactively raise potential usability, functional, or reliability concerns.Advocate for product quality and the end-user experience throughout the software development lifecycle.Required Qualifications2+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Manual Software Testing.Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, processes, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).Experience writing and executing detailed test cases and test scenarios.Strong experience with functional and regression testing.Experience testing web and/or mobile applications.Ability to identify edge cases beyond documented requirements.Experience working with bug-tracking and test-management tools such as Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.Basic understanding of APIs and experience with tools such as Postman.Familiarity with browser developer tools and software debugging techniques.Ability to capture and analyze application logs.Basic knowledge of SQL and database validation is preferred.Strong written communication skills, particularly for documenting software defects.Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple testing priorities.Ability to collaborate effectively with geographically distributed engineering and product teams.Must reside in the United States and be able to work U.S. business hours as required.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.Work Location & AuthorizationThis position is 100% remote and may be performed from anywhere within the United States.No visa sponsorship is available for this position.
