Embedded Test Automation Engineer, Body Control Systems: On behalf of our Automotive client, Procom is searching for an Embedded Test Automation Engineer, Body Control Systems for a 12 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Waterloo, Ontario office. Embedded Test Automation Engineer, Body Control Systems - Job Description: Employees in this role are responsible for designing and developing test cases based on requirements, then automating and deploying them into a CI/CT pipeline for execution. This role is involved across the full software test development lifecycle, testing for quality and deploying software to meet customer requirements. Embedded Test Automation Engineer, Body Control Systems - Responsibilities: Analyze software requirements to inform test strategy and ensure comprehensive test coverage Design, author, and review detailed L2 test cases in TestRail, covering Smoke Test, Sanity Test, Feature Regression Test, and Stability Test types Configure and integrate a wide array of test tools including test management systems, defect tracking systems, test automation frameworks, measurement tools, and debuggers Develop, automate, and maintain robust test suites and scripts (e.g. Gtest, Python) and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines Oversee and perform automated test execution for nightly engineering and release builds, ensuring comprehensive logging and monitoring of results Identify, report, and analyze test failures to pinpoint defects, managing defect tracking and retesting activities to ensure timely resolution Generate detailed test execution reports summarizing pass/fail rates, execution progress, and test coverage metrics Embedded Test Automation Engineer, Body Control Systems - Mandatory Skills: Python Jenkins Test Automation Performance Testing Acceptance Testing Embedded Test Automation Engineer, Body Control Systems – Nice-to-Have Skills: Embedded Software Automation Automated Scripting Strong understanding of software requirements analysis and traceability Knowledge of automotive embedded systems and architectures Embedded Test Automation Engineer, Body Control Systems – Assignment Length: This is a 12 month contract position.
