Full-Time | On-siteLocation: Washington, DC 20006Salary: $145,000–$170,000 annuallyPosition SummaryStriden is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee facilities operations for a large office environment. This role is responsible for managing building operations, space planning, vendor relationships, workplace services, and facilities projects while ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained workplace.ResponsibilitiesManage the day-to-day operations of the office facility, including maintenance, renovations, relocations, security, and audiovisual/video conferencing (AV/VC) systems.Oversee procurement activities, negotiate vendor contracts, equipment leases, and service agreements.Manage workplace support services, including mailroom operations, shipping and receiving, kitchen services, and conference room coordination.Coordinate with building management on preventive maintenance, repairs, construction projects, and tenant improvements.Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain workplace safety standards.Supervise, mentor, and support a team of three facilities professionals.Develop and implement short- and long-term space planning strategies.Evaluate, negotiate, and manage commercial office leases and occupancy requirements.Lead Request for Proposal (RFP) processes for architects, contractors, and facility service providers.Monitor facility budgets, vendor performance, and project timelines to ensure operational efficiency.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, or a related field.Five (5) or more years of facilities management experience, including leadership of facilities projects and teams.Experience managing commercial office buildings and workplace operations.Knowledge of space planning, building systems, renovations, and security programs.Experience negotiating commercial leases, contracts, and vendor agreements.Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.Experience using property management or facilities management software is preferred.At Striden, we believe in celebrating diversity and providing a work environment where all employees are treated with dignity and respect.
