We have an entrepreneurial culture and collaboratively develop our business with patience and discipline; we work hard, learn constantly, and relentlessly improve our expertise.ResponsibilitiesDesign network solutions for TMG's automated trading infrastructureImplement and maintain a high availability, low latency network infrastructureTroubleshoot network and network related issuesCollaborate with other team members on new technology solutionsWork with other teams within the firm to address technological issuesProactively monitor the network and provide capacity planningParticipate in the on-call support rotation and some weekend workMentor junior engineers from a technical perspectiveRequirementsSeasoned engineer, ideally with a CCIE, experience building and maintaining production financial/trading networksExperience with multicast and unicast routing protocols (TCP/IP, PIM, BGP, OSPF)Experience with the design, deployment, and operation of modern IP multicast networksWorking knowledge of low latency networking conceptsExperience with firewall administration and site to site VPNSome hands-on required for data center workDeep understanding of the TCP/IP stackExperience with packet capture and tcpdump analysis toolsKnowledge of high accuracy timing protocolsExperience with network management software and toolsScripting language experience such as python for network automation, testing, and troubleshootingEffective communication and interpersonal skillsThis position requires physical presence and is onsite (no remote work)BenefitsWe offer one of the most generous profit sharing programs in the industry because we believe our employees should be able to take part in our rapid growth and success.
