As we grow, we are hiring a Director of Finance & Accounting to strengthen our trust accounting infrastructure, ensure compliance, and create financial clarity across a rapidly expanding portfolio.POSITION SUMMARY:As our Director of Finance and Accounting, you will own Trust and Business accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, compliance, and property management accounting while strengthening controls, supporting audits, and improving system automation within Escapia a (PMS) and ERP system. Success means efficient workflows, real-time financial visibility, and systems that scale as the portfolio grows.RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead all trust accounting operations and maintain full regulatory complianceManage, mentor, and develop the remote accounting teamOversee accounts receivable, guest payments, deposits, refunds, and folio accuracyOwn reconciliations and produce weekly, monthly, and annual reportsEnsure accuracy of owner statements and distributionsManage TOT taxes, city filings, licenses, and audit readinessOversee vendor, real estate, and travel advisor payablesImprove workflows and automation within EscapiaBuild scalable SOPs, KPIs, and financial playbooksPartner with leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flowLead year-end processes, including 1099s and inventory reconciliationRespond quickly to financial questions through Slack, Asana, and internal systemsManaging a team of 5 employees in the accounting department.Overseeing all financial statements and ensuring compliance with GAAP accounting protocols and SOPs.Collaborating closely with the company CPA and CFO on year-end tax preparation, owner's equity distribution, and year-end closing.Support Accounting manager with: Business Insurance policy's Renewals, Payroll, Team Bonuses,1099, Financial statements,401k And department developmentQUALIFICATIONS:4+ years of accounting director level experience in property management, real estate, Vacation Rentals, hospitalityBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field requiredKnowledge of GAAP, audits, and internal controlsStrong background in reconciliations, audits, and complianceExperience with Escapia, Guesty, Streamline, or similar PMS platformsProven leader of high-performing accounting teamsSkilled in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reportingAdvanced user of tools such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Excel, Asana, Slack and workflow systemsHighly detail-oriented with the ability to move quickly and accurately and manage multi project and tasksClear communicator who collaborates well across departmentsCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS:Salary: $105,000 to $135,000 based on experienceBonus: Monthly performance bonus of 10 to 20 percent after a 90-day probation period, tied to goal achievement and management approvalAdditional Benefits:Health, dental, and life insurancePTO, sick leave, and pre-approved holidaysPhone and internet reimbursement401K with 3% company match after one yearFlexible scheduling, company events, and premium office amenitiesJob Type: Full-timeLocation: Local applicants only.
