Senior Java / Spring Boot Developer (Developer/Programmer Analyst 3)Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid) Job Type: Contract (12 Months+) Work Authorization: Open to authorized candidates able to work in the U.S. Local Candidates Only: YesJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Senior Java / Spring Boot Developer to join a large enterprise technology team supporting mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing scalable Java applications using Spring Boot, working within Agile environments, and contributing throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).This is a hybrid opportunity requiring 3 days onsite (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) and 2 days remote (Monday & Wednesday) in Austin, TX.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications.Build scalable RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot.Participate in application architecture and technical design discussions.Develop high-quality, maintainable, and reusable code.Perform unit testing and support application quality initiatives.Create and maintain technical documentation.Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver software solutions.Follow SDLC best practices and coding standards.Required Skills8+ years of Java/J2EE development experience.8+ years of experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.Strong experience developing REST APIs and enterprise applications.8+ years of Unit Testing experience.8+ years of Agile development experience.Experience with software design, development, and implementation.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Preferred SkillsExperience with JIRA and Bitbucket.Experience with Nomad.Experience supporting education or government data systems.Experience with Texas Student Data System (TSDS).QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Ability to work independently and collaboratively within Agile teams.Strong commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.📩 If you are interested or know someone who would be a great fit, please DM me or share your resume.vighneshwar.gouda@prolim.com
