The finish and protection of our trailers are critical to durability, appearance, and long‑term performance.Position Details🕒 Schedule: Monday - Thursday 💼 1st Shift: 5:30am - 4:00pm 💼 Shift: 4:30pm - 3:00am ⏱️ Overtime: Required as business needsWhat You’ll Do -You will prepare surfaces, apply coatings, inspect finished work, and support safe, efficient production paint operations.Surface PreparationPerform blasting and blow‑off processes to:Remove weld smut, smoke, loose scale, and steel blast gritInspect components to ensure proper blast quality before coatingWipe down trailers and components using approved solvents to remove overspray, overlaps, and residuePainting & UndercoatingApply primer at required mil thickness, ensuring uniform coverageInspect primed components prior to topcoating and correct defects such as runs or sagsApply topcoat finishes at required mil thicknessApply undercoating to trailer components as required for protection and durabilityInspection & Equipment OperationVisually inspect paint and undercoating for quality, coverage, and defectsOperate unload machines and inspect components for damage or defects; repair as neededEnter component numbers and production data accurately into computerized systemsSafety, Quality & ProductivityPerform all tasks in a safe, efficient, timely, and accurate manner according to company policyMaintain high productivity while meeting quality standardsContribute to team efforts to produce a quality productMaintain dependable attendance and work scheduled hoursSupport mandatory overtime as requiredPerform other duties as assigned to support production operationsEducationWhat You Bring - High school diploma or equivalent (based on education and work experience)Experience & Skills1–3 months of related experience and/or training preferred, including:Equipment operationApplication techniquesBasic troubleshootingAbility to work at a fast pace and take responsibility for errorsStrong attention to quality and detailAbility to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writingBasic math skills, including understanding mixing ratiosAbility to assist management directly when neededAbility to pass a pulmonary function testWork Environment & Physical ExpectationsThis position requires the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical requirements include prolonged standing and walking, climbing, lifting, and working with arms above shoulder level.
