In this role you will support maintenance and repair activities for production equipment at the Amgen Rhode Island (ARI) manufacturing site. You will work as part of a maintenance team to ensure equipment reliability and support manufacturing operations.In this role, you will be expected to work a 12-hour shift (7PM-7AM) on a rotating schedule. This includes extra benefits such as receiving an added 15% shift differential, and also getting premium pay for any Sundays worked. The schedule during the initial on-boarding phase for this role (2-6 weeks) will be administrative (Monday through Friday, approximately 8am to 5pm).Key responsibilities include:Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities on equipment and systems used in Manufacturing, the Process Development Laboratory, the Quality Analytical Laboratory, or other ARI site areas.Support preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance tasks following established procedures and safety standards.Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with site procedures and compliance requirements.Assist in diagnosing equipment issues and escalating complex problems when needed.Accurately complete work order documentation in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).Communicate maintenance activities, equipment status, and issues with operators and team members.Contribute to maintaining a productive and efficient work environment.Identify opportunities for process improvement and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.Participate in training and development to expand technical skills and improve team performance.Provide support as required, which may include nights, weekends, holidays, or overtime.Perform other duties as assigned.What we expect of youWe are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The dedicated professional we seek is a motivated team player with the following qualifications:High school diploma/GED and 1 year of utility operations or maintenance work or military experience ORAssociate degreePreferred Qualifications3+ years of combined education, training, or experience in mechanical maintenance with exposure to sanitary processing equipment and systems.Basic knowledge of pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.Experience working in a regulated environment such as cGMP manufacturing.Familiarity with executing and documenting maintenance work orders in a CMMS (e.g., Maximo).Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and equipment documentation.Ability to perform maintenance tasks with guidance from senior technicians or supervisors.Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.Flexibility to work overtime as needed.What you can expect of usAs we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for your professional and personal growth and well-being.
