Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Hydraulic Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on hydraulic systems and related equipment. This role is critical in ensuring our machinery operates at peak efficiency and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair hydraulic systems, pumps, cylinders, and valves
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan
Inspect equipment for signs of wear, damage, or potential failure
Replace or repair worn components, hoses, seals, and fittings
Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and production teams to resolve equipment issues
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards
Having the ability to follow procedural compliance and engineered procedures is a must. Willingness to further ones knowledge base and skillset in a growing company with specialized equipment is necessary
This position is located at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI.
Responsibilities
Strong understanding of hydraulic schematics and mechanical systems
Proficiency with hand and power tools commonly used in hydraulic repair
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Must be able to lift up to [50] lbs and work in various environmental conditions
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Qualifications
Required
High school diplomaor equivalent OR a minimum of 2 years related technical experience
2+ years of experience in hydraulic system maintenance and repair
Must be available to work all shifts
Ability to work at heights, confined spaces and extreme temperature conditions as required
Individuals are required to possess their own basic hand tools
Preferred
Technical certification or vocational training preferred
Experience with industrial or mobile hydraulic equipment
Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
OSHA or other safety-related certifications
Past mechanical / hydraulic trade school or apprenticeship
Experience Working from ladders and lifts while wearing fall protection
