Project Executive

Project ExecutivePosition Overview The Project Executive will lead and grow commercial construction projects from pursuit through closeout, with responsibility for overall project profitability, client relationships, and cross-disciplinary coordination. This role blends business development and sales with senior project management oversightparticularly for HVAC and MEP design-build workensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to quality and safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesLead pursuit and capture activities for new commercial construction and design-build opportunities, preparing proposals, pricing input, and client presentations.Manage a portfolio of high-value projects, overseeing scope, schedule, budget, risk, and contract compliance from award through closeout.Serve as primary client and stakeholder contact, building strong relationships, anticipating client needs, and ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC trades, ensuring effective communication between design, estimating, and field operations.Provide executive-level leadership to project managers and site teams, mentoring staff, resolving escalated issues, and driving project performance and profitability.Oversee procurement and subcontractor management, negotiating terms, managing change orders, and ensuring subcontractor performance and compliance.Partner with design teams to manage design-build processes, review technical submittals, and ensure constructability and code compliance for MEP systems.Monitor project financials including forecasting, cash flow, invoicing, and margin protection; implement corrective actions when needed.Champion quality control and safety programs on projects, ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and client specifications.Prepare and deliver executive reports and project updates to senior leadership and clients, including risk assessments and mitigation plans.Identify and develop new business opportunities through networking, client engagement, and market intelligence to grow the companys commercial HVAC/MEP portfolio.QualificationsBachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree or MBA a plus.8+ years of progressive experience in commercial construction with demonstrated success in project leadership and business development; experience as a Project Executive, Project Manager, or Senior Project Manager preferred.Proven track record in sales and pursuit activities, including proposal development, estimating input, and contract negotiation.Deep technical knowledge of HVAC and MEP systems, including mechanical, plumbing, and electrical scope in commercial construction and design-build delivery.Hands-on experience managing design-build projects and coordinating design/engineering teams with field operations.Strong financial acumen with experience managing project budgets, forecasting, change management, and profit protection.Excellent leadership and team management skills with experience mentoring project managers and leading cross-functional teams.Exceptional communication, presentation, and client relationship skills with the ability to influence at executive levels.Familiarity with project management tools, scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera), and ERP/CRM systems.Relevant certifications (PMP, CCM, LEED, or similar) and safety training desired.Ability to travel to project sites regularly and valid drivers license.Benefits Vacation/PTO Medical Dental Vision 401k Bonus Relocation Telecommute Email Your Resume In Word ToWendy.Alvarado@CyberCoders.comLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
