Control Room Operator - Power Plant - Boiler Well established power generation company is actively seeking an experienced Control Room Operator - Power Plant - Boiler for Billings, Montana. Requires a high school degree and a minimum of two (2) years of power plant experience including one (1) year at the technician level and one (1) year as a Control Room Operator (CRO). This is not an entry level position. Most skills are learned through prior on-the-job training. High school graduate preferred who has technical training or related work experience. Vocation-technical training preferred but not essential. Must pass Basic and Operator skills test. Compensation: Annual compensation is anticipated to be in the $88,000 - $100,000 range including hourly rate ($42/hour -$48/hour) plus overtime pay. Client provides full benefits including 401k, health, dental, 9 paid holidays and 2 weeks vacation. Must have previous Control Board Operator experience. Must have a good understanding of solid fuel power plants and how they work. Must have previous experience as a solid fuel or gas fired power plant operator with Control Board experience. Must pass Basic and Operator skills test. Must qualify and successfully pass the test for a State of Montana 1st Class Operators License one (1) year after assignment as CRO I. Must possess a valid drivers license.
