We are currently seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This role is essential for providing support to all unit activities related to facility maintenance and engineering services within our aviation catering facility. The Facilities Maintenance Engineer will ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards while executing maintenance solutions that meet our operational needs Develop and implement maintenance solutions tailored to meet customer and operational needs. Execute facility maintenance and upkeep according to predefined specifications, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards as required by dnata Catering and regulatory bodies. Conduct routine inspections of assigned areas and perform necessary maintenance to keep facilities in optimal condition. Repair various fixtures and hardware, including doors, windows, minor appliances, and office equipment. Install, inspect, test, operate, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems essential for food preservation and facility climate control. Perform electrical repairs and maintenance, including lightbulb replacements, wiring repairs, and circuit breaker and fuse replacements. Handle general plumbing tasks such as fixing toilets, faucets, and leaks. Complete daily, weekly, or monthly maintenance checklists and document preventative maintenance activities. Respond to emergency repair and maintenance situations promptly. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including tools and inventory used. Uphold a friendly, efficient, and positive customer service demeanor towards all customers, clients, and co-workers. Demonstrate efficient and safe use of equipment and tools, adhering to safety policies and procedures. NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION: Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED 2+ years of experience in a high-volume food service environment with at least 1 year of relevant experience. HVAC certification is preferred; previous HVAC and refrigeration experience is required. Knowledge of various aspects of repair and maintenance work, including electrical, plumbing, and safety codes. Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to follow safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks. Be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and occasional overtime as needed Willingness to learn new tasks and procedures as required. Intellectual/Social demands: While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits. Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. This position also requires constant attendance and punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time. Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan. Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity; Works quickly. Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 30 pounds. Work environment: The essential functions of this position are performed indoors. The noise level in the work environment can range from minimal to loud.
