Director, Program Management
Overview
As Director, Program Management, you drive a portfolio of cross-functional projects within ADP’s Global Finance/Quote-to-Cash scope. You’ll align stakeholders, manage budgets, and lead a transformation roadmap that delivers measurable value. You’ll partner with Finance, BUs, and other functions to execute complex programs, mitigate risks, and develop your team for future needs. This role combines strategic execution with hands-on governance, shaping how we deliver in a large enterprise.
ResponsibilitiesLead and govern a program/portfolio of projects across multiple BUs and functionsPlan, control, and report on progress, risks, and budgets for complex programsDevelop WBS, requirements, design, test plans, and risk mitigation artifactsEstablish and publish comprehensive program reporting via PMO toolsStructure resourcing, coordinate with cross-functional and external teamsObtain scope-change approvals and resolve resource conflictsSet goals, monitor performance, and align team with KPIsDrive quarterly performance reviews and annual focal point assessmentsEnsure consistent use of PMO methodologies, governance, and stakeholder communicationsDefine success criteria and manage program-level KPI reportingManage program budget and requests for incremental fundingEngage senior leadership with clear communication and governanceDemonstrate risk management and issue resolution across the programLead change management and communication with stakeholders and teams
Key requirements10+ years of project experience; 5+ years in enterprise-level, cross-functional, multi-year projectsProgram management expertise in matrixed organizations with multiple concurrent projectsExperience executing strategy and transformation in Fortune 500 or similarly complex environmentsDirector-level people leadership experienceAbility to identify and mitigate project risks to meet objectivesExperience leading teams of 10+ associates across functions in a multi-national company3+ years in one or more Quote-to-Cash functions (Q2C)Strong organizational and time management skills for juggling multiple projectsProficiency with a project management tool (e.g., Smartsheet) and data-driven decision-makingPMP certification requiredBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or equivalentExperience in Order Management and Billing within QTC (added comfort)Agile experience and Six Sigma (added comfort)Experience presenting to senior leaders and working with commercial stakeholdersExperience leveraging analytics to support Finance and QTC processesExperience establishing and leading project governance and cross-functional collaborationFamiliarity with AI or emerging technologies to improve business processesMicrosoft Office proficiencyStrong communication and change managementCross-functional collaborationStakeholder management and relationship buildingSmartsheet or similar PMO toolData analytics and KPI reportingChange management
