The role involves managing projects from planning to completion, coordinating logistics, ensuring project timelines are met, and adhering to quality standards. Responsibilities include overseeing inspections, managing budgets, and maintaining clear communication with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure project success.QualificationsStrong skills in Project Management, including planning, scheduling, and overseeing construction projectsHands-on experience with Expediting and Logistics ManagementProficiency in performing and supervising Inspections to ensure project compliance with standards and regulationsExperience as an Expeditor in managing supply chain tasks and ensuring timely deliveryFamiliarity with underground utility construction processes and safety practicesEffective communication, leadership, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage budgets and handle project documentation efficientlyExperience & Education RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; college degree highly desirable5+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering design, construction, paving, or land development project managementExperience managing both public and private sector projectsStrong familiarity with DOT specifications and compliance requirementsDegree in civil engineering or related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of training and experienceProven ability to oversee complex project scopes, ensure quality and safety, and deliver projects on time and within budgetEssential Job RequirementsManage all phases of complex projects from initiation through completionCommunicate effectively with project owners, vendors, and subcontractorsNegotiate, prepare, and administer subcontractor and vendor contractsReview, validate, and approve subcontractor and vendor invoicesCoordinate closely with jobsite superintendents while maintaining strong client relationshipsConduct in-depth project reviews to schedule deliverables, estimate costs, and ensure contractual complianceIssue purchase orders and subcontracts; secure necessary permits and licensesOversee project scheduling, invoicing, change orders, estimating, and takeoffsPerform daily monitoring and documentation of job progressProactively plan to prevent issues and resolve problems as they ariseAnalyze, manage, and mitigate project risksEnsure adherence to quality construction standards and proper techniquesPrepare internal and external project status and performance reports
