Senior Property Accountant - HybridThe Senior Property Accountant is responsible for the accurate and timely financial reporting of a designated real estate portfolio. This includes managing property budgets and forecasts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and working closely with property managers to optimize operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.Responsibilities:Reports accurately and timely, the financial records of the assigned real estate portfolio, including budgets and forecastsWorks closely with the property managers to ensure accuracy, consistency and promote effectiveness in operations reportingEnsures implementation of company-wide property management accounting and reporting initiativesMaintains a calendar of all required reporting deadlines for assigned properties and prepares accurate and timely reporting as requiredPrepares and review monthly accruals and straight-line rent journal entriesReconciles balance sheet accounts monthlyEnsures delinquency reports are correct and contacts property management about serious delinquenciesUnderstands lease terminology and works closely with Lease AdministratorsMonitors cash and ensures that critical payments are made timely and prepares funding reports as neededParticipates in budget preparation by providing information and analysis to property managersReviews budgets for accuracy and uploading into accounting softwarePrepares monthly bank reconciliations for assigned propertiesAnalyzes data from several sources and provides accurate and complete answers for ownersPrepares personal property tax listings and monitors sales/use tax for ownersHandles other duties as assigned by ControllerDesired Competency, Experience and Skills:Four-year degree in Accounting required2-3 years of accounting experience; Commercial property accounting preferredGAAP experience preferredExhibits strong interpersonal and critical thinking skillsHigh degree of professionalism in addition to excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skillsTeam oriented, with the ability to build effective relationships in a cohesive business environmentHigh proficiency in EXCELMRI and/or Yardi preferredAbout Lincoln Property CompanyLincoln Property Company ("Lincoln") is one of the largest private real estate firms in the United States.
