DSS - Desktop Support Specialist

The successful candidate will work closely with our engineering team to ensure that all computer systems are secure and running at optimal capacity. The ideal candidate will be experienced with network administration, troubleshooting and system installation, and has a background in software development.Desktop Support SpecialistResponsibilitiesI. Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and courteous manner.II. Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls.III. Manage the reception area, ensuring it is tidy and presentable.IV. Handle inquiries (in-person in Le Comptoire, phone, and email) and provide accurate information.V. Address user tickets regarding hardware, software and networkingVI. Walk customers through installing applications and computer peripherals VII. Ask targeted questions to diagnose problemsVIII. Guide users with simple, step-by-step instructionsIX. Conduct remote troubleshooting or in-person in Le ComptoireX. Test alternative pathways until you resolve an issueXI. Customize desktop applications to meet user needsXII. Record technical issues and solutions in logsXIII. Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnelXIV. Follow up with clients to ensure their systems are functionalXV. Schedule appointments, manage meeting room bookings, and maintain visitor logs.XVI. Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, photocopying, and scanning.XVII. Coordinate with internal departments for office operations and facility management.XVIII.
