Hardware Support Technician I

What this Job Entails: The Hardware Support Technician I provides procurement, inventory management, asset management, distribution and logistics services for pre-market consumer electronics across the globe. The role also provides technical assistance to ensure the products are getting shipped with the right image. The person in this role works with cutting edge technology and pre-market consumer electronics.Scope:Follows established procedures on routine workRequires detailed instructionsYour Roles and Responsibilities:Assist with inventory and asset management including receipt and disposition of hardwareDocument all defects of pre-mass production hardware and/or softwareHelp perform hardware reworks (e.g., swapping out boards/chips, removing write-protect screws, etc.)Help perform software reworks (e.g., imaging devices to different builds; wipe data, rewrite system hardware ID's, etc.)Assist with servo flashing, firmware upgrade, flashing unsigned imagesHelps in resolving support tickets on device issuesHelp provide technical support during events (travel often required)Other duties as required. This list is not meant to be a comprehensive inventory of all responsibilities assigned to this positionRequired Qualifications/Skills:High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 0 to 2 years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceIT savvy and interested in new technologiesKnowledgeable about inventory, and comfortable in an IT inventory environmentCapable of following technical instructions to flash drives, image devices and re-write hardware IDsExcellent communicator in both written and verbal EnglishAbility to work in a teamAbility to excel in a fast paced work environment.Ability to learn new things and adapt to a changing environment quicklyStrong organization skills, and able to identify the steps to be taken to achieve objectivesPreferred Qualifications:Data experienceExcel experiencePhysical Demand & Work Environment:Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standingMust have the ability to move from place to place within an office environmentMust be able to use a computerMust have the ability to communicate effectivelySome positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingersSalary Range$17.36 - $27.40 USD (Hourly)Please note that the salary information provided herein is base pay only (gross); it does not include other forms of compensation which may or may not apply to this specific position, namely, performance-based bonuses, benefits-related payments, or other general incentives - none of which are guaranteed, may be subject to specific eligibility requirements, and are wholly within the discretion of Astreya to remit.Further, the salary information noted above is a range that consists of a minimum and maximum rate of pay for this specific position.
