The ideal candidate will create a structured, engaging classroom environment that supports student growth and prepares scholars for advanced mathematics and future academic success.AMS teachers are collaborative professionals who believe that all scholars can achieve at high levels through structured instruction, strong classroom culture, and data-informed teaching practices.Key ResponsibilitiesInstruction & Student AchievementDeliver rigorous, standards-aligned mathematics instruction aligned with AMS curriculum and Arizona academic standards.Strengthen students' mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills.Differentiate instruction to support students performing above and below grade level.Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and inform instructional planning.Implement instructional strategies that promote student engagement and conceptual understanding of mathematics.Classroom Culture & Student DevelopmentEstablish and maintain a structured, positive, and high-expectations classroom environment.Implement PBIS and proactive classroom management strategies.Support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.Encourage students to develop strong study habits and accountability for their learning.Collaboration & Professional GrowthParticipate in weekly professional development and professional learning communities (PLCs).Collaborate with grade-level teams, instructional coaches, and school leadership to strengthen teaching practices.Use student performance data to support instructional improvement and targeted academic interventions.Contribute to school-wide systems and continuous improvement initiatives.Family EngagementCommunicate regularly with families regarding student progress and academic expectations.Conduct parent-teacher conferences and maintain strong home-school partnerships.Support family engagement initiatives that promote student success.Minimum QualificationsCandidates must meet one of the following requirements:Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Mathematics, Education, or relevant content area)ORValid Arizona teaching certification in a relevant subject areaORMinimum of three (3) years of K-12 teaching experienceAdditionally, candidates must:Demonstrate strong classroom management skillsPass required background checks and obtain an IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance CardShow commitment to serving Title I and multilingual communitiesDemonstrate strong analytical skills and a data-driven instructional mindsetExhibit collaboration, professionalism, and initiative in a team-based environmentCompensation & BenefitsAMS offers a competitive compensation and benefits package designed to support professional growth and long-term career success.Competitive salary based on experience401(k) retirement plan with employer contributionsMedical, dental, life, and disability insuranceOptional vision coveragePerformance bonusesStipend opportunities for tutoring, intervention, clubs, or extracurricular leadershipOngoing professional development and instructional coaching
